This year we are in partnership with the Frazee Center. They focus on
helping low-income families break the chains of poverty. Find out more here!
How to get involved
As you embark on this beautiful journey to spread the light of Christ in our community, you will first need to complete the following items:

2) Complete Archdiocese Training videos and tests
3) Sign up for a time slot on Sign-up Genius here

Anna Karageorgiou (Steering Committee President)
Anna has a strong passion for helping others and has felt God calling her to spread His love and light to those in need. She spent time in Nepal working in a children's orphanage in 2014 and 2015, served on the ScanSource Charitable Foundation for 4 years, was a Mentor Greenville volunteer for 3 years, and was on the board of Lead Academy Charter School for 2 years. Anna is the daughter of Carolyn and Theo Karageorgiou and has been attending St. George since 2001 after moving here from Asheville, NC. She is currently engaged and excited for the future! |
Matina Kazameas
Matina Kazameas lives in Taylors with her husband Christos and two dogs Hercules and Artemis. She has about eight years of experience in various Non-profit work related to Public Health and Public Service. She is excited to focus on ministries beyond our church community and the prospect of bringing those in need closer to Christ through exposure to Orthodox Christianity.

Jim Navaro
Jim Navarro lives in Easley with his wife Debbie and daughter Lauren, He has fifteen years’ experience with teach8ing Sunday School and eight years with serving on the Saint George Parish Council. Jim is looking forward by helping others in the Greenville community since there is so much in need. |
Carolyn Karageorgiou
Carolyn’s passion to help those less fortunate motivated her to pursue a career as a dietician in public health. She worked for over 40 years with low income children and families to insure they received adequate nutritional support. She has attended Saint George for over 20 years after moving here from Asheville, NC. She is active in the choir and has three children, one of whom lives in Greenville, her daughter Anna. |
Cris Ivan
Cris moved with his family from Romania to South Carolina when he was 12 years old. He has been a member of St. George community since 2010. A graduate of Clemson University, he works as an applications engineer, volunteers with the local non-profit Just Say Something, and enjoys playing tennis and reading good books. |
